It certainly was a birthday to remember!
Last night I celebrated my birthday at Gallow Green, the rooftop garden restaurant and bar at The McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. The ambiance, staff, food and especially the drinks were amazing. BUT the best part of the night was definitely spending it with family and friends, including some special JKS staffers (past and present)! Check out the fun below!
Because on my birthday…
Yesterday, the JKS Events team was invited to a four-course tasting with Sonnier & Castle at their New York offices. And boy, did this luxury caterer live up to its reputation. Not only was the food amazingly delicious but each dish was creative and new. From the ingredients to the food presentation to the overall look and feel of the room, table, and staff, Sonnier & Castle had it all. Needless to say, we can’t wait to book them for one of our upcoming events. Here are just some of the photos from yesterday’s outing. And if you like what you see, check them out here.
At Sonnier & Castle…
This past Tuesday at Christie’s, the elite of New York gathered to honor Real Estate magnate, Eugene M. Grant at a luncheon benefiting the American Friends of the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem. Guests were invited to learn more about the Museum and its rich history. We were honored to be part of this prestigious event. Check out the album below for an inside look.
It’s intimate events such as this that remind us…
2014 is off to a great start! Last night’s event was truly a success and we are so honored to have helped introduce this beautiful new retail space. Check out the album below for an introduction to Mansion on Madison and the beauty that is this NYC gem.
For retail brokers…
Everyone is talking about the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Brooklyn! Recently opened by partners Jonathan Schnapp and Ashley Albert, this amazing venue is the world’s first shuffleboard nightclub. Complete with vintage details and a true Floridian vibe, Royal Palms features 10 regulation-size courts. Cabanas line the walls to provide seating and an intimate group setting. A food truck bay allows for the cities best food trucks to rotate through the space, providing a truly delicious and unique experience. And of course there is the shuffleboard league! One of JKS’ very own is part of the very first league season and we can’t wait to go cheer her on! Check out these pictures from the league’s opening night.
We think Royal Palms has the IT factor to make it a lasting success. And of course it helps that they’ve stuck to our mantra…
Happy New Year everyone! We’ve missed writing our blog for the last couple of months, but once our busy season picked up it was hard to find the time. Instead, we put 110% into each event we produced and the outcome was truly spectacular. Here’s a look back at some of our favorite events of 2013…
Stay tuned for 2014! It’s going to be an exciting year for JKS Events!
We love a good New York City rooftop! Who wouldn’t? With the fabulous views of the skyline and the city, New York’s rooftops are unbeatable and make for incredible venue spaces. Check out the pictures below for some of our favorites!

We here at JKS Events love fantastic food, so you will not hear any complaints that food tastings are part of the job! We regularly sample dish upon dish with our clients, and help them choose a perfect menu. We are also fortunate enough to be invited to “event planner parties” hosted by restaurants, venues, and caterers all the time, which help us keep our fingers on the pulse of cutting-edge cuisine. Check out our mouth-watering album below for a real “taste” of our exciting life!

What better way to kick-off the fall event season than with a fun and fabulous cocktail party?!
Serving as a pre-party for the Folk Couture Benefit Gala, honoring Dr. Valerie Steele and Lucy Sykes to benefit the American Folk Art Museum, last night’s cocktail event took place at Minton’s, the not-yet-open (and historic) Harlem jazz nightclub being re-developed by former Time Warner chief Dick Parsons. Originally Minton’s Playhouse, this historical hot spot opened in the late 1930s and quickly became one of the most popular jazz clubs in the city.
My team and I had a fabulous time and can’t wait to come back when Minton’s officially opens next month! Until then, take a look at the amazing photos of the space and the event on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
When it comes to fashion week in NYC, options are limitless. With fashion shows and presentations taking place across the city simultaneously, how is a girl supposed to choose!
I have my favorites, and of course there are the designers whose shows I have produced in the past, but every now and then it’s nice to check out someone new. Everyone should check out at least one young, up-and-coming designer. My choice this year was Titania Inglis. Held in The High Line Room at The Standard Hotel in Chelsea, the geometric and metal details to Titania’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection really lent itself to a young and futuristic style that can only come from a true artist.
Check out the full line here.
