We’ve planned every kind of event including product launches, retail store openings, not-for-profit gala benefits, political fundraisers, ground breakings, movie premieres, topping–off parties, new construction parties, real estate broker parties, wine tastings, restaurant openings, awards shows, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, and holiday parties. Our parties can take place any time of day—breakfasts, luncheons, cocktail parties, and sit-down dinners—any day of the year, almost anywhere in the world.
Founded in 1999 by Janeen Saltman, JKS Events has created hundreds of events, ranging from intimate to exotic, formal to unforgettable. JKS Events brings the same high level of service to all of its events, which have included a Balinese feast for 35 in Southampton, a week-long celebration in Jamaica for 65, a black-tie masquerade wedding for 200 at the Essex House, and a dinner and awards show fundraiser for 1,000 at the Lexington Avenue Armory.
We believe that event planning is an art. Starting with a blank canvas, we combine creativity and expertise with our client’s vision to create a masterpiece. We work intimately with our clients, shaping the direction of the event, and then executing – down to the smallest detail.

Founder & President
After graduating from New York University, Janeen Saltman started her career in real estate advertising and marketing. During her time in these fields, Janeen’s natural talent for planning and hosting events became her signature. Full of experience, knowledge, and party planning skills, Janeen launched JKS Events to share her passion.
Senior Vice President
Alden Levy joined JKS Events in 2001, after spending almost 15 years in consulting and project management. Alden holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business of The University of Pennsylvania and served as chairman of The Wharton Club of New York’s Social and Special Events Committee.
Director of Events
Katie has been working with JKS Events on a project basis since 2005 and is now a full-time member of the team! She has over 15 years of experience producing fundraising events for nonprofits. During 11 years as the event director at the American Folk Art Museum, she raised over $8 million through galas, art fairs, and corporate membership. As Director of Special Events at Pratt Institute, Katie raised over $2.5 million through high-profile events.
Senior Event Producer
Meredith has been working in events for the past six years. She has managed everything from weddings to nonprofit galas all over the country. Her event management experience began in Colorado in 2011 and continued in South Carolina before moving to New York. After spending months producing events in the New York City area, she joined the JKS Events team in September 2016.
Senior Event Producer
Doug has been an event producer since moving to New York in 2000 and joined the JKS Events team as a freelance Senior Event Producer in 2015. He has produced a wide range of events, from small intimate gatherings to multi-million dollar productions to benefits for many well-know New York city nonprofits. Some of these include Public Art Fund, Central Park Conservancy, Friends of Hudson River Park and Lincoln Center.
Associate Event Producer
Adriana has spent her professional career in client-facing roles. She worked at Expo Milano for the US State Department, guiding tours in Spanish, Italian, and English; she worked in communications at L’Oréal; and she managed fundraisers for high-profile, non-profit institutions. Adriana is the newest addition to the JKS Events team, having joined us in March 2018.
